Volunteers in Action
What is it?
Volunteers in Action is a program designed to encourage employees to get involved in the communities they live and work in by helping volunteer for local nonprofit and service organization.
IdeaOne Telecom is encouraging all employees to get involved in their community by joining a service group or volunteering for projects that fit their interests and schedules.
How are we going to do that?
In ’08 we have chosen 12 nonprofit organizations that have each been assigned to a month throughout the year. IdeaOne Telecom will do volunteer activities with their organizations and provide a cash donation based on the number of new residential installations completed that month. We want to give our employees the opportunity to be exposed and involved with many organizations throughout the Fargo-Moorhead community. Community development is an important objective at IdeaOne and with employees acting as a team we are making a difference in our community.
